Funeral for Larry “Buzz” Goodwin, 69, of Trinity will be Saturday, June 11, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with Reverend Richie Thompson officiating. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Goodwin, who died Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at his residence, was born Thursday, May 22, 1947, to A J Goodwin and Billie Sparkman Goodwin. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching the grandchildren play sports. He retired from General Motors. His parents preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Dot Goodwin; two sons, Vaughn (Deanna) Goodwin and Steve (Rachel) Goodwin; daughter, Missy (Rodney) Terry; sister, Linda Smith; brother, Billy Goodwin; special aunt, Betty Nelson; three grandchildren, Lindsay Goodwin, Jada Terry and Jared Terry.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
