Mrs. William Manson, 83, died Sunday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bert Davis, 303 Lamberton St., Rocky Grove. Her maiden name was Maria Brandon and she was born April 5, 1847 at Cranberry.
She had been in her usual health and spent Sunday with her sisters in Salina. Late in the evening she was stricken with an attack of neuralgia and died in half an hour.
In 1865 she married William Manson, who died four years ago. They started housekeeping in Reno but moved to Rocky Grove about 50 years ago. She was a member of the Grace Evangelical church at Rocky Grove for many years, was of a kindly disposition and held on high esteem by the entire community.
Surviving are the daughter with whom she made her home for the past 16 years; a son, Samuel, at Springville; four sisters; four grandchildren, L. R. Krepp, Rocky Grove, Orville Krepp and Mrs. V. L. Frank, Los Angeles, and Miss Manson, Rocky Grove; six great-grandchildren. Deceased are two sons, Jesse and John, and a daughter, Mrs. Nettie Drayer.
Services will be at the home of the deceased at 2 pm Wednesday with Rev. Paul Servey officiating. Interment will be in Franklin cemetery.
