He was a member of the administrative board and building committee of Indian Hills United Methodist Church. A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Gault, he was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Scimitar Shrine Temple.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Kathryne Conley Gault; a brother, W. T. Gault of Danville and a sister, Mrs. Baxter Lofland of Gravelly.
