Madge Oberweather, 70, Lee's Summit, MO, died Tuesday, June 30, 1998, at Village Care Center in Lee's Summit, MO. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 3, at the Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Lee's Summit; burial in Floral Hills East Cemetery, Lee's Summit. Friends may call 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Mrs. Oberweather was born November 23, 1927, in Greenwood, MO.

Madalyn was raised in Pleasant Hill, MO, and married Lee K. Oberweather in March of 1946. They raised their sons in Lone Jack and Lee's Summit, MO. Madalyn ``Madge'' retired from AT&T in Lee's Summit, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents; seven sisters; and two brothers. Survivors include her husband, Lee K. Oberweather, of the home; three sons, H.L. ``Obie'' and wife, Sue, Greenwood, MO, Steve Oberweather and wife, Suzie, Lee's Summit, MO, Doug Oberweather, Lee's Summit, MO; two sisters, Mildred ``Jo Jo'' Corlew, Lee's Summit, MO, and Lou Pozek, Independence, MO; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
