Ethel M. (Perkins) Kent, 67, passed away Monday evening December 23, 1974 at Community Hospital East. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Pursel-Davis Chapel with he Rev. Walden Paige in charge. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Born February 15, 1907, at Waukon, she was the daughter of Walter F. and Lydia Brink Perkins. She married Homer F. Kent, January 2, 1925 at Nevada, Iowa. He survives, as do three children. Clyde W. Kent of Orion, Illinois. Mrs. Victor (N. Frances ) Logsdon, Des Moines, Iowa and Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Menter of Marshalltown, Iowa. Six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Harry Perkins of Marshalltown, Iowa and two sisters. Mrs. Florence Wilkenson of Long Beach, California and Mrs Betty Pope or Savannah, Georgia and her mother Mrs. Lydia Bond of Bramerd, Minnisota. Her father , a brother, a sister and a daughter in infancy preceded her in death. Mrs. Kent was educated in Terre Haute, Indiana and spent her early life there. She came to Marshalltown in 1924. She attended the First United Methodist Church.
