Francine Cox Aiken Christensen
1935 - 2016

Early Life: Francine was born December 26, 1935, and was raised in Provo and Pleasant Grove, Utah. She lived life on her terms, but had an undying testimony of the Savior Jesus Christ and His gospel. She was very involved in high school; she sang in the a cappella choir, played tennis and basketball, and found time to be a Pleasant Grove High School cheerleader.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: She married Reed Olsen for a short time and then served an honorable mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Melbourne, Australia. When she returned, she married Glenn Aiken and had three children prior to his death in New Zealand in 1966. In 1968, Francine met and married Max Christensen and they put together the "yours, mine, ours and theirs" blended family of nine children. She worked for BYU Motion Picture Studios as a make-up artist and was most known for the film Johnny Lingo. She served faithfully in her many church callings. Her favorite calling was that of teacher; her most recent as an early morning seminary teacher in the Alhambra California Ward, which she loved. She was a servant of the community in various capacities from coaching city and church ball teams, helping girls prepare to run for crowns in the Miss America organization, was the Utah County Fair Director, and was a candidate for Mayor in Orem. She always had a ready smile and a hearty, infectious laugh. She was also always equipped to listen to your problems and usually had a solution or advice to offer. She raised her family in Orem, but then traded that in for sunny California where she lived with her daughter, Tawnya, for the past 15 years. She said she wouldn't trade those years for anything. Francine Cox Christensen was called home after a short, but valiant battle with lymphoma on May 28, 2016, at the age of 80.
Survived By: Her husband, Max Christensen; her children: Marie Bahe, of Flagstaff, AZ; Kris Solis, Scott (Trish) Aiken, of Springville, UT; Coleen (Craig) Young, of Ft. Worth, TX; Glenn (Marcy) Aiken, of West Jordan, UT; and Tawnya Lange, of Alhambra, CA; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even a few great-great-grandchildren.
Predeceased By: Her parents, Max M. Cox and James & Merle McCausland; a brother, Robert McCausland; and three children: Lynette, Lynda and Ron Christensen.
