THE DEATH OF ADAM LUCAS
A message was received yesterday by Martin Lucas announcing the death of his brother, Adam Lucas, which occurred in Deer Creek, Minn., on Tuesday. Mr Lucas was born in Butler county, Ohio, 84 years ago and died from the infirmities of age. He came to this county with his parents, Mr and Mrs Martin Lucas, when he was a small boy, and resided here until about twenty-five years ago, when he moved to Minnesota. He was widely known throughout the county and had visited here frequently, where he possessed many friends. Mr Lucas was a man of noble character and was a member of the United Brethren church. He is survived by four daughters and two sons. He also leaves the following brothers and sisters: James, Luther, David and Martin Lucas, of this county, and Mrs John E Rodgers, of Franklin.(Lafayette newspaper, Thursday, March 11, 1909)
