Allen B. Barker, 81, died 14 Oct 2007 at home in Washington County, Utah, with his Wife by his side. He was born 11 Oct 1926 in Springville, Utah to John Thomas and Hannah Allan Barker. Allan's father died when he was 7 and he was raised by his Mother and many close extended family members.

At 18 he joined the U.S. Navy and served on a APA 163 in much of the Pacific during WWII.

After the war while stationed in the Bay Area he met the love of his life, Olga June Judson at church in Oakland, Ca. They settled in the Bay Area and moved eventually to Oregon, Nevada and finally returned to Utah after a few years in Arizona.

Allan worked for Safeway Corp., and then became a postal worker and retiring as Postmaster in 1976.

After his retirement he was able to work at what he loved, carpentry, repair and remodeling. He also loved to garden and do yard work. He spent his later years entertaining groups with his singing and guitar playing. He and Olga loved to travel across country visiting family and friends.

Allan was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two sisters, two grandsons and a granddaughter.

Interment in Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
