Bertha was born June 28, 1921, to Hannah and John Barker in Springville, Utah. She married Alonzo C. "Al" Billings April 22, 1942, they were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple March 14, 1945. They just shared their 58th wedding anniversary. She loved camping and traveling, and enjoyed country music. Sweet angel of a mom, grandma, and great-grandma, Bertha Barker Billings passed peacefully from this world May 26, 2000, while holding her beloved sweetheart's hand. She was 78.
She is survived by her husband, Al, of American Fork; children: Colleen (Dennis) Martinsen, Vernal; Jan (Curt) Park, Ogden; Stephen (Brenda) Billings, Highland; Brent (Carol) Billings, Kim (Laurie) Billings, Tracy Billings, all of American Fork; and Sherri (Allan) Jones, Orem. The joys of her life were her 21 grandchildren and nine great-grand-children. She is also survived by two sisters, Mildred Giles, Springville; Leona Jensen, Overton, Nevada; two brothers, Allan B. Barker, St. George; and Russell L. Barker, presently serving an LDS mission in New Zealand. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Paul, Ronald, and Leo Barker.
