Jeams Enoch, my grandfather is the only child of Margarett Elizabeth Stuckey and believed to be the seventh child of James Marcus Parker who died when Jeams was just a young boy. Jeams is the grandson of James Elisha # 145384023 and Sarah Parker # 144368287. He was a life long resident of Simpson County growing up in Harrisville then settling in Pinola where he married Janie Richardson and from this marriage came eight children. Upon Janie's death as a young mother Jeams married Mattie Brannigan and one more child was born.

Enoch served as Justice Of The Peace in district three for eight years. He also owned and operated the Pinola Barber Shop for many years. After closing his barber shop in the early 40s he continued to cut hair for family and friends on the front porch of his home on Jupiter Road. Enoch was also a mail carrier and brick layer. On his farm he grew peanuts and sugar cane with which he made syrup to sell.

Enoch was a member of the Pinola Masonic Lodge and Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

Enoch is the half brother of Elisha C., Leroy A., Oscar Parker and also believed to be the half brother of Zula Parker, Harris.
