Funeral services for Mrs. Effie Belle Jones Brown, 82, of the Shiloh Community of Jackson County, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, March 18, at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. Mrs. Brown passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2006, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, Tennessee. She was born October 27, 1923, in Jackson County to the late Sid Tom Jones and Nannie Haile Jones. On February 10, 1946, she was married to the late Roy J.B. Brown, who passed away on March 6, 2004. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker, and a member of the Shiloh Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Infant Son; 1 Brother: Lewis Jones; and 2 Sisters: Fannie Mai Allen and Nettie Lee Huff. Survivors include 2 Sons and 1 Daughter-in-Law: James Edward and Marilyn Brown of Gainesboro, TN, and Roy Brown of Cookeville, TN; 2 Grandchildren: Kevin Brown and Amber Brown of Cookeville, TN; and 2 Sisters: Retta Elrod of Granville, TN, and Eva Mahaney of Gainesboro, TN. Other relatives and friends also survive.
