S.J. Fergeson, C.R. Fergeson, and H.E. Fergeson, were owners of Fergeson Brothers Drug Store since 1911. The men came to Texas from Marshall County, Tennessee in 1881 with their widowed mother, Mrs. Sarah C. Fergeson, and four other brothers and two sisters. When the family came to Texas, they stopped in Collin County where they lived until coming to this section of Texas in 1886 at which time, their mother filed on 672 acres of school land in the Foard City Community.

Stonewall Jackson Fergeson returned to Tennessee in 1891 where he married Miss Earnie Charlton on 23 December 1891. The couple returned to Texas and lived on the Fergeson farm in the Foard City Community until 1911 when they moved to Crowell. He and his brothers entered the drug business with B.F. Allison. Stonewall Fergeson was the only one of the brothers actively engaged in the business then. Several years after the death of his first wife, Mr. Fergeson married Mrs. Rebecca Darrow johnson at Chillicothe.
