Ruth Miller Bransteitter, 68, of Blackburn, MO, died Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Kansas City Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with Rev. Dan Nicholson officiating. There will be no visitation, but friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery north of Warsaw. Born February 14, 1948 in Warsaw, she was the daughter of the late Garland Thomas and Margaret Jones Thomas. Ruth was raised in the Warsaw area where she was a 1966 graduate of Warsaw High School. On May 18, 1999 she married Bob Bransteitter who survives of the home. Ruth lived in Saline County most of her adult life and worked at Tyson Foods for 22 years, retiring on February 27, 2015. She was a member of Union Baptist Church near Malta Bend. She loved to fish, raise her own garden, and loved flowers.
In addition to her husband, Bob; she is survived by two sons, Joe Miller and wife Julie of Marshall, and Merle Miller and wife Joyce Feagle of Gainsville, FL; three grandchildren, Bethany Miller, Jake Miller, and Kealan Miller; two brothers, Dean Thomas of Tulsa, OK and Larry Thomas of Sand Springs, OK; one sister, Loyce Ihrig of Ft. Worth, TX; as well as nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death one brother, Bob Thomas and her sister-in-law Virginia (Ginny) Lynn Butler Thomas that was Bob wife. She died of cancer.
