Age 65, of Shipman, Virginia passed away 9 July 2013 at Hospice of the Piedmont in Charlottesville, Virginia. He was born in Leesburg, Va. 25 September 1947, to the late John Nathaniel and Della Aline Jackson Mercer, also preceded in death by a brother, John Douglas Mercer.
Those left to cherish his memory are Son Howard Franklin Mercer, daughter Jeanette (Jeannie) Mae Mercer Corum, brother, Charles Sidney Mercer and wife, Jackie, sister's Barbara Jean Mercer Mann and husband, George, Mary Lou Mercer Bunch and husband, Allen and Sister-in-law Mary Jane Pierce. Grandchildren: Zack, Joshuah, Howard, Hannah, Kendall, James and Kara and 6 great grandchildren. A son Joshuah and daughter Mary and many nephews and nieces.
Family will be available for visitation at 10:00am, 1 hour prior to the memorial service being held Wednesday, 25 September 2013, 11:00am at the Chapel in Union Cemetery, Leesburg, Va. Officiating the service, niece, Rev. Sharon Kay Mann.
