CAROLINA ABAONZA OBITUARY
After a four year battle with cancer, Carolina Abaonza has returned to the loving arms of her mother and sister on July 23, 2009.

Carolina was a long time resident of Ventura County. She was born May 10, 1952 in Mexico and moved to California in 1969. She was a well known seamstress, who specialized in bridal gowns and dresses for all occasions. During the course of her career she met a lot of people, who even after their special events still maintained a friendship with her. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a very big heart and she will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Carolina was preceded in death by her mother Ramona Abaonza and sister Irene Abaonza-Galaviz. Carolina is survived by her daughters, Mona Guillen, Celia Vazquez, Carolina Soto and Christina Guillen. Her grandchildren, Juan Rodriguez, Phillip and Natalie Guillen and Breanna Laursen. Sisters, Nena Salazar (Chuco), Patricia Abaonza, Yolanda Madrid (Agustin) brothers, Jose Abaonza (Clementina), Ruben Abaonza (Aurora) along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and very dear friends.

Visitation is planned for Thursday, 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., July 30, with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Camino del Sol Funeral Home, 200 North "C" St., Oxnard. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, 10:00 a.m., July 31, at Santa Clara Catholic Church, 323 South "E" St., Oxnard. A private burial will take place at a later date at Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery, Oxnard.

A memorial fund has been established for Carolina Abaonza at Wells Fargo Bank. Camino del Sol Memorial Center & Funeral Home, A Heritage Provider, 200 North "C" Street, Oxnard, is assisting the family with arrangements (805) 483 - 3443
