I. V. Heriford, 85, formerly of Princeton, died yesterday afternoon at the home of his son, David Heriford, Clarksdale. Mr. Heriford had made his home with his children since the death of his wife.
Funeral services will be held at the Antioch Baptist Church near Princeton. Tentative plans are for tomorrow afternoon. He was a member of the Meadville Baptist Church and was a deacon in the church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Omar Hammond, Meadville; Mrs. Orville Mason, Mill Grove, and Mrs. Howard Casteel, Princeton; five sons, Howard Heriford, Princeton; David Heriford, Clarksdale; the Rev. Willie Heriford, Hannibal; the Rev. Loland Heriford, Birmingham, Ala., and the Rev. Roy Heriford, Bethany; 20 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.
