GRAVESIDE SERVICES HELD ON SATURDAY FOR ALBERT COIT

Graveside services for Albert B. Coit, 65, were held Saturday afternoon, November 30, at 3 o'clock at the Knights of Pythias Cemetery here. Serving as pall bearers were J. D. Williams, A. R. Williams, L. W. Williams, H. R. McMullan, T. D. Brand, and H. M. Dent.

Mr. Coit died suddenly Friday, November 29, of a heart attack at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A. O. Parker, in Port Allen, La. He and Mrs. Coit, the former Allie Williams, were there for the Thanksgiving week end. He was a heart patient and had experienced several previous attacks.

Funeral services where held at the Union Church in Newellton, La., at 10 a. m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Kelly Unger of Meridian, who also officiated at the local service.

Mr. Coit was the son of the Rev. A. B. Coit and Helen Harry Coit, and was a resident of Newellton, La. He was a retired stock farmer and a member of the Presbyterian Church since early youth. He was liked and respected by a wide circle of friends for his jovial, good nature, and his friendliness.

Besides his wife, Mr. Coit leaves four children, Mrs. Parker and Mrs. Paul Favrot of Port Allen, La.; A. B. Coit, Jr., of Lavras, Brazil, and Harry W. Coit, of Houston, Tex.; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, R. E. Coit of Meridian, and Lindsey Coit of Newellton, La.; one sister, Mrs. A. Norwood Mulvey, of Indiana; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
