William was the son of Matt and Madlina Wiidanen.

WIIDANEN, WILLIAM MATTHEW -- Born June 8, 1874, Finland. Died Jan. 8, 1940, Goldendale, Wash. Cause of death: coronary heart disease. Husband of Ida Mattson. Farmer. Father: Matthew Wiidanen (b. Finland). Mother: Madeline Hybaren (b. Finland). Burial Jan. 10, 1940, Centerville, Wash.


OBIT:

William M. Wiidanen, 65, pioneer resident of the Centerville community, died at his home Monday evening following a heart attack.

Funeral rites for Mr. Wiidanen were held from the Phillips Chapel in Goldendale, Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Rev. C. E. Hanes, Baptist minister, conducted the services. Interment was in the Centerville Grange Cemetery.

Mr. Wiidanen was born in Finland and came to this country when nine years old. He had been a resident of the Centerville community since that time.

Survivors include the widow, Ida, one daughter, Mrs. Edna Simi; five sons, Burton, Albine, Francis, Merle and Wesley; two brothers, Abraham and Edward, both of Portland; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Mattson of Centerville, and Mrs. Ida Johnson, Mrs. Hilda Thorpe and Mrs. Anna Jelkrem, all of Portland.
