Jessie "Tootsie" (Dority) Byerly, 84 passed away on May 16, 2016 in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She was born on April 28, 1932 in Coalgate, Oklahoma to Emit Jesse Dority and Ora Gertrude (Johnson) Dority. She graduated from Holdenville Public Schools.

Tootsie married Billy Gene Byerly on March 24, 1952 in Ada, Oklahoma. She worked as a laundry attendant for many years. Tootsie (as she was known by all her friends and family) loved yellow roses. Camping and fishing were high on her favorite pastime list.
