Stanley Ketterman, age 83 of Petersburg, WV, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2016 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA.

He was born in Dumplin Run, WV on May 31, 1932, the son of the late John Adam and Bessie L. (Parker) Ketterman.

Stanley married Dottie Mauzy Ketterman, who survives in Petersburg.

Mr. Ketterman attended school in Dumplin run and attended the Brake Church of the Brethren.

He was a member of the VFW #6454 and had worked as a Brick Mason for 35 years.

Stanley was a Veteran of the US Army where he served in the Second Infantry and served during the Korean War.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Ketterman is survived by: a daughter, Lisa Ketterman of Points, WV; a son, Kevin Lee Ketterman of Portland, ME; 3 sisters, Ruth Ours and husband Merl of Scherr, WV, Janet Bible and husband Harold of Arthur, WV, Linda Ours and husband Gene of Petersburg; 3 brothers, Asno Ketterman and wife Caroline of Dorcas, WV, Roy Ketterman and wife Charlotte of Fisher, WV, and Vernon Ketterman and wife Georgeanna of Old Fields, WV.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: 4 brothers, John David, W. Ketterman, Bobby H., and Ralph Ketterman; and 3 sisters, Violet Whetzel, Edith See, and Marguerite Miller.

Mr. Ketterman's family will receive friends on Sunday, May 15, 2016, 6-8 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg.

Funeral services will be on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Craig Howard officiating.

Interment will be in South Branch Valley Memorial Gardens, Petersburg with military honors conducted by the Grant County Veterans Honor Guard.
