Ida celebrated 100 years surrounded by family and friends. Preceding were daughter Margaret and husbands Victor Wall and Howard Mattison. Survivors included: children Victor Wall Jr. (Lida Rowden), Mary Alice Miller (Benjamin Harrison) and Diane (Darrell) Taylor; 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Ida worked fulltime as an educator in Springfield and La Junta for many years and concluded her career as school psychologist in Jefferson County school system. In retirement, she worked with others, sewing bedrolls for the homeless and making layettes for newborn infants. In addition to sewing, she enjoyed quilting and creating stained glass projects. When she was 94 years old, she climbed to the top of the "Cash Register" building in downtown Denver in 47 minutes to benefit the American Lung Association. Through the age of 96, she was active in Curves exercise program for women. Tabor-Rice Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
