Lincoln, Sept. 22 --- The funeral services for the late Christ Arndt will be held at the chapel of the Boyden Undertaking Co., at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon and interment will be in [Old] Union cemetery.
Christ Arndt was born in Prussia, Germany, April 5, 1835, and came to this country and direct to Lincoln in 1868. After being here three years he bought a farm three miles south of Lincoln, where six children were born: Emil B., deceased; Carl G., address unknown; V. Hugo, deceased; Emma S., now Mrs. Emma Schultz, 4912 Kammerling Ave., Chicago; Henry R., located in Rock Island; and Harry O., Chicago. There are four grandchildren: Emil D. Arndt, Oleson, Colo.; Marcella and Frederick Schultz, Chicago; Richard B. Arndt, Chicago; Margaret Arndt, Rock Island.
