Elizabeth (Betty) Loretta Johnston, of Hammond, passed away Sunday, Aug. 3, 1980 at the Munster Med Inn.
Survivors: one son, Nolan C. (Mary Anne) Ahlborn of Highland, three grandchildren, Mrs. Rebecca (Charles) Hendrix of Griffith, Mrs. Heidi (Michael) Sekulovski of Highland, David Nolan Ahlborn of Chicago; two great-grandchildren, Jason and Jenny Lynn Hendrtx, both of Griffith; one sister, Mrs. Goldie (John) Galinsky of Monticello, Ind.; one niece, Elizabeth (Thomas) Powers of Dyer; one nephew, James (Carolyn) Galinsky of Schererville; one great-niece; two great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 6, 10:30 a.m. at LaHayne Funeral Home, 5746 Hohman Ave., Hammond, with Rev. Leroy Fassett officiating.
Burial, Ridgelawn Cemetery, Gary.
Friends may call at the LaHayne Funeral Home, Tuesday, 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or the First Presbyterian Church of Highland.
Mrs. Johnston was employed at the Hammond Housing Authority.
A member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 120 of Hammond.
A lifetime resident of the area.
