The daughter of Benjamin and Elizabeth Moore, Margaret probably was born in VA. Her father died when Margaret was young, her mother subsequently becoming the wife of David Harmon.

Margaret married George Myers in Pendleton Co., KY Jun. 7, 1810. The couple lived for a number of years in Grant Co., KY before making a final move to Decatur Co., IN where they successfully farmed the fertile land in Sand Creek Twp. near the village of Westport. Late in life, the Myers moved into the city of Greensburg, their granddaughter Jemima Plunkett, having come from her home in KY to assist them.

Five daughters, Margaret, Melvina, Catherine, Sarah and Elizabeth plus at least one son, William H., were born to this couple during their years in KY.

Margaret and George Myers were members of the Baptist church, both in KY and in IN.
