On April 15, 1989, Lonn was united in marriage with Kenda Kay Renken at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.
After their marriage, Lonn and Kenda lived in New Providence, Iowa, where Lonn worked for a farmer and in construction. In 1996, they moved to Austinville, Iowa. Lonn was employed as a welder at SMI and then at County Line Engineer. He was later employed at Electrolux in Webster City, Iowa. The last seven years, Lonn worked for Bob Schipper Construction.
Lonn was a former member of the Church of Christ in Eldora, where he was baptized and confirmed. He enjoyed tinkering and working in his garage.
Lonn’s greatest joys were fishing, hunting, camping, riding horses and collecting rocks. He especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. A favorite time for Lonn was the yearly family camping trip, where he loved to start the campfire and also the water fights. Lonn’s best friend was his grandson, Kaeden.
Lonn died Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at his home in Austinville.
Lonn was preceded in death by his father, Donald Schwarck and one brother, Steve Schwarck.
Lonn is survived by his wife of 27 years, Kenda of Austinville, two daughters, Kelly (Nate) Feeney of Iowa Falls, Iowa and Kristy (Tyler) Johnson of Parkersburg, Iowa; two sons, Justin (Kayla) Schwarck of Parkersburg and Josh (Riley Ellermann) Schwarck of Parkersburg; four grandchildren, Kaeden, Keali, Brynlee and Kamden and his grand puppies; his mother, Norma Schwarck of Marshalltown, Iowa; two brothers, Lynn Schwarck of Union, Iowa, and Phil (Maggie) Schwarck of Marshalltown; two sisters, Dee McCoy of Union, and Lee (Terry Monroe) Jackson of Eldora.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 9, 2016, at the Bethel Reformed Church, with burial in the Pleasant View Cemetery, both in rural Aplington.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Sunday, at the Bethel Reformed Church in rural, Aplington, and one hour before services at the church.
