MARTIN, Emerson M. Passed into the presence of Jesus, surrounded by his family at the Freeport Campus of GRH, on Monday, May 2, 2016, one day short of his 87th birthday. Emerson was the beloved husband of Anna (Weber) Martin for 63 plus years. Loving father of Ron and Marg, Gloria and Murray, Rick and Linda, Brenda and Terry, and Damaris and Gord. Lovingly remembered by his 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grand- children. Brother and brother-in-law of Henry, Wilma, Velina, Mary, Clarence and Eva, and Verna. Pre- deceased by parents Amos C. and Louisa Martin, brother Nelson Martin, brothers-in-law Amos L. Martin, Cleason Weber, sister-in-law Irene Martin, and son-in-law John Speers. Emerson was raised in Wallenstein, having owned and operated the Amos C. Martin tile business along with his father and brothers in both Wallenstein and Parkhill for over 40 years. He enjoyed a second career of driving a long haul truck for 15 years and was pleased to see every state and province many times over. He had a real passion for music which he instilled into his children, and enjoyed their expression of it in their lives. His love for Jesus was embraced by his children, who in turn choose to serve Him also. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at GRH; KW Campus, Freeport Campus, and St. Mary's General Hospital for their commitment to serve, and the compassionate care received. The ICU doctors were especially dedicated to finding a cure for Dad, which in the end helped bring closure and comfort to the family. Visitation will be held at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira on Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., and on Friday, May 6, 2016 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Woodside Bible Fellowship, Elmira.
