Danny Lee Wilcher Sr., 62, of Indianapolis, passed away May 17, 2015. Danny started working with his parents Lawrence and Betty Wilcher, owners of Wilcher Produce in 1969. He later expanded into Wilcher Trucking with his son, Danny Jr. and openned Danny's Melon Shed in Cordele, Georgia in 1996 with his wife, Darlene.
Danny will forever be remembered for his sense of humor, his accomplishments and love for his family. We would like to express our sincere graditude to the countless people who provided him with their support, love and comfort.
Danny is survived by his wife; Darlene Wilcher, children; Shannon (Adam) Ginder, Danny (Dorthea) Wilcher, Jennifer Rogers, Matt (Tiffany) Wilcher and John Rogers along with 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; sister's Patricia, Rebbecca (Robert), and Sharon (Tom), and one brother David (Nida). He is preceded in death by his parents; Lawrence and Betty Wilcher and sister; Deborah.
Visitation will be at Little and Sons Stop 11 Chapel on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Saturday at noon with 1 hour of visitation before the start of the service. Burial will be held at Acton Cemetery. Donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association .
