Miss Carrie Alsop, the elder daughter of George Alsop, died at her home north west of this village on Saturday afternoon last. She was born in this town and was twenty-one years of age. Consumption was the cause of death. The deceased was a very estimable young lady and was a graduate of the Union school. Her health has been infirm for several months. The funeral was held on Monday afternoon from the family residence.
