Grant Ludlow Cope, age 79, died February 14, 1991 at his home in Midvale, Utah. He was a member of the LDS Church.

Born April 22, 1911 in Salt Lake City, Utah the son of Albert John and Ethel Ludlow Cope. Grant married Mara (Rae) Swain Rushmer March 2, 1935, in Bountiful, Davis Co., Utah, who preceded him in death. He married Beth J. Edginton, October 29, 1966 in Midvale, Salt Lake Co., Utah. Graduate of West High School and attended the University of Utah. Member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity.

He began working in 1932 for Mountain States Supply Co. and was with that company for 8 years. He then served the United States government for 8 years in the field auditor's unit. He was ordinance property auditor; administrative assistant to the officer in charge of the Salt Lake Branch Ogden Arsenal, and property supply officer. He was given a ''Certificate of Commendation'' for this outstanding service. In 1947, he became associated with Paul Lawson and Lawson Supply Co. He worked for Lawson Supply Co., now known as Lawson Familian. He retired from Lawson-Yeates at 77 years of age.

Known for his positive attitude, Grant never failed to greet friends and family alike with, ''I'm mighty, mighty fine and it's a beautiful day in Salt Lake City.''

He is survived by his loving wife of Midvale; 3 daughters and 3 sons, Nanette (Nikki) Cope Zito; Linda Day; Jaelyn Cope Eriksson; Brent Smith, Steven Smith, and Clint J. Cope; 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Also survived by 5 brothers, Albert John, Wesson Ludlow, Richard Ludlow, William Ludlow, Alan Ludlow; and a sister, Helen Hanes. Funeral services Tuesday, February 19th, at 2 pm, Larkin Chapel, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call Monday evening 6-8 pm. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
