He was born Nov. 23, 1920, in Watauga County, a son of the late Dewey and Arvilla Greene Shook.
Mr. Shook was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of Foscoe Christian Church, and a retired small engine mechanic.
Survivors include three sisters, two brothers, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Gaye Storie Shook; and two brothers, Clinton and Frank Shook.
Graveside services were held at Mount Lawn Memorial Park & Gardens.
