KINCHELOE, Barbara, was born to Rev. James W. and Eunice Dodd Farmer on November 7, 1917 in Hiawassee, Ga., and died peacefully on April 27, 2016, at the home of her daughter. She is survived by her children: sons, Paul L. Kincheloe (Judy) of Chesterfield, Va. and John W. Kincheloe III (Susan) of Durham, N.C.; daughters, Jane K. McDonald (Pete) of Davidson, N.C. and Anne K. Easterling (Richard) of Richmond, Va.; daughter-in-law, Patricia L. Kincheloe, also of Richmond, Va.; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Dr. John W. Kincheloe Jr.; her parents, three brothers and three sisters. Barbara attended Tift College (now Mercer University) in Georgia, before moving to Richmond. In Richmond, she worked at the Baptist Bookstore, where she met her future husband, John. She supported her husband's ministry wholeheartedly. Barbara was a loving and faithful partner, a wonderful and caring mother, a doting grandmother and an energetic inspiration to all who knew her. She created a welcoming home, where family and friends convened for memorable picnics, holiday gatherings and other family celebrations. A caring and generous spirit stayed with her through all of her 98 years. Her visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, 2016, at Branch's Baptist Church, 3400 Broad Rock Blvd., Richmond, Va. 23234, where her funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery. The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the caring hospice team from AseraCare for their love and support. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Branch's Baptist Church or First Baptist Church, 2709 Monument Ave., Richmond, Va. 23220.
