Lillie was the oldest in a family of 10 brothers and sisters. The others always seemed to turn to her for advise throughout their lives.

She was in the restaurant business and the owned Dennis Transfer and Company moving and storage company with her husband Roy Dennis. They sold that business to one of her brothers, then owned apartment buildings. San Luis Obispo was her home.

She was an incredible gardener with a yard always filled with beautiful flowers and plants. Her advice on cooking and gardening were always sought after.

A strong, wonderful and loving woman dedicated to her family.

Her son Laverne L. Dennis, private in the US Marine Corps died March 14, 1945 serving our country and is buried at the Honolulu Memorial in Honolulu, Hawaii.

They also had a daughter, Loretta Maxine, born in 12/2/1922 and taught school until she retired.
