Mrs. Meeker was born Nov. 5, 1922, in Blackshear, Ga., a daughter of James Lawton and Mamie James Bennett. She married Everett Meeker Jr. Aug. 25, 1946, in Brunswick, Ga. He survives.
Also surviving are a son, Ronald Everett Meeker of Memphis, Tenn.; a daughter, Judy Carol Weese of Landisville, Pa.; two sisters, Mamie Severin of Waycross, Ga., and Melda Van Iderstyne of Jekyll Island, Ga.; two brothers, J.L. Bennett and Harold Bennett, both of Mershon, Ga.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Mrs. Meeker graduated from Patterson High School, Patterson, Ga., in 1940, and then graduated from business college in Waycross, Ga.
She was a lab technician at Brunswick Pulp and Paper Co. in Georgia.
In 1947, was a lab technician at Lakeview Memorial Hospital in Danville. From 1965 to 1982 she was a medical assistant for Dr. Paul E. Hepner.
She and her husband farmed for 57 years in Rileysburg, Ind. She was secretary of Meeker Farms Inc.
Mrs. Meeker was a member of Central Christian Church, Danville, where she was a deaconess emeritus; Co-Wed Class; Christian Women's Fellowship; and the Home Economics Club, Perrysville, Ind.
