CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Donald E. Rohrer, 80, of Menno Haven and formerly of 172 E. Kauffman Road, died Friday, July 12, 2002, at Menno Haven.

Born Sept. 14, 1921, in Brookville, Ohio, he was the son of the late Albert and Elsie Hoke Rohrer.

He was a graduate of Upland Academy in Upland, Calif.

He was a truck driver for Grove Worldwide in Shady Grove, Pa., and for Gabler Trucking in Chambersburg. Following his retirement, he drove part-time for Willard Agri-Service in Marion, Pa.

He was a member of Antrim Brethren in Christ Church near Chambersburg where he was a member of Berean Sunday School Class and formerly served as a song leader.

He is survived by his wife, Vera M. Meyers Rohrer, whom he married May 30, 1946; a daughter, Dotti A. Hoover of Greencastle, Pa.; four sisters, Dorcas Mitchell, Rachael Schildberg and Marjorie Kott, all of Oak Harbor, Wash., and Anna Mae Kohler of Ashland, Ohio; three granddaughters; and two great-grandsons.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Levi Rohrer and Paul Rohrer.

Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Antrim Brethren in Christ Church, Chambersburg. The Revs. Ky R. Searcy and Lawrence Yoder will officiate. Burial will be in Browns Mill Cemetery in Kauffman, Pa.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Greencastle, Pa., and Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at the church.

Memorial donations may be made to Building Fund, Antrim Brethren in Christ Church, 24 E. Kauffman Road, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
