MORAN, Feb. .5.— Mrs. America Josephine Norman, aged 83 years, passed away at her home here Tuesday night following a long illness attendant with great suffering. The deceased has lived in the community for about thirty years. Much of that time the family lived on a farm northeast of town. Later the family moved to LaHarpe where they resided for some time but for several years the home has been in Moran. After the death of her husband and her large family of children had gone into homes of their own Mrs. Norman lived alone and by her energy was able to care for herself until her health began to fail about two years ago and for several months has been quite helpless. Her son Tom has cared for her during recent months and by his devotion has greatly lessened her burden of suffering. Besides her son Tom the deceased is survived by four other sons, Charlie, Moran; Elmer, Uniontown; Oliver, Columbia, Mo., Theron, Kirksville, Mo., and one daughter, Mrs. Robert McBee, Pennsylvania. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Christian church conducted by Rev. N.A. Peck, and interment will be made in the Moran cemetery.
