Mr. A. J. Norman was born at Schuyler Co.. Mo., September 28, 1850. and departed this life January 4, 1922, at 9:30 o'clock in the evening, age. 71 years, 3 months and 6 days, after an Illness of six weeks. Mr. Norman bad been in very poor health for many years,

He moved with his family to Kansas in 1906, and has been a residendt of Gas City for a year, having moved here from LaHarpe. Mr. Norman leaves to mourn his death, his wife and seven children, five boys and two girls, tow girls and one boy preceded him in death. The children are: T.A. Norman, Kirksville, Mo., Mrs. Mintie McBee, Caney, Kansas, Mrs. Hanna Hubbard, Green Top, Mo., S.O. Norman, Gas, Kansas, Grover Norman, Iowa, E.E. Norman, Moran, Kansas, T.W. Norman, Ottawa, Kansas C.L. Norman, LaHarpe, Kansas and 30 grandchildren and a host of other friends and relatives. Mr. Norman and children exted their thanks to the neighbors and friends for their many kindnesses.

Mrs. Mintie McBee and son, Lloyd returned Sunday to their home at Caney, Kansas.
