Norman D. English, 62, died Monday, March 09, 1998, at the North Miss Medical Center in Tupelo, Miss.

He was Born November 12, 1935; the Son of Honnel Milton English, who is Buried at Jumpertown Cemetery and Mittie Mae Skaggs English.

He was a Member of Jumpertown Methodist Church, where he was a Song Leader for years and Lay Delegate to the North Miss United Methodist Conference.

He served as Caretaker and Secretary for the Jumpertown Cemetery; and as Clock Keeper for Jumpertown High School Basketball games for many years.
He was an Avid Fan of Jumpertown High School and Northeast Miss Community College Basketball and Softball.

He served as a Host Parent for many Exchange Students.

He was a Truck Driver for Genesco Shoe Company for 16 years at Ripley and Fulton, MS and Nashville, TN; and for Jumper Oil Co before becoming disabled in 1975.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Honnel Milton English.

Survivors include his Wife of 45 years, Beth Yates English; his Mother, Mittie Mae Skaggs English; a Daughter, Norma Jo English Jones and Husband, Billy, of Jumpertown; two Brothers, Larry English and Wife, Sally; and Honnel English and Wife, Peggy, all of Jumpertown; two Granddaughters, Marcie Elizabeth Whitley of Jumpertown; and Lori Michelle Stroupe Sims and Husband, Mikel, of Booneville; two Nieces, Kirn English Green and Kristen English Herring, both of Jumpertown; a Nephew, Randy English of Jumpertown; two Great Nieces, Andrea Green and Mandi English; a Great Nephew, Kyle English.

Pallbearers will be Bud Green, Bill Jumper, Garry English, Billy English, Buster Green, Randy English, Jimmy Moore and Donnie Lauderdale.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Whim Green, Gene English, Dean English, Jack Blassingame, Charles Elliott, Olis English, Macky Gann, Leslie Crawford, Harrell Padgett and Kenneth Michael.
