UNION - Mary Joanne Ward, 64, of 500 N. Church St. died Sept. 2, 1998, at her home after an illness.
A native of Union, she was the daughter of the late Ben Ward Sr. and Willie D. Sanders Ward.
She was a retired registered nurse and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sisters, Jean Bell of Radford, Va., and Hilda Bailey of Union; and a brother, Ben Ward Jr. of Union.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. today at S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 4 p.m. in Union Memorial Gardens, conducted by Dr. Joe Bridges.
