Her parents, who had a large farm, were pioneers in entertaining summer guests and also were interested in the corn packing industry as member of Fernald, Keene & True Co., composed of the late Bert M. On August 15, 1893, she was married to Henry C. Prince of Waterville, Me., where he was in the newspaper and printing business. In 1915, the business was sold and Mr. Prince bought a newspaper and printing plant in Madison, Me., where they lived until 1941, when Mr. Prince was obliged to sell on account of illness.
They moved to Marblehead in 1942 and with their daughter, Mrs. Helen Russell, purchased a new home on Lafyette street.
Mrs. Prince was treasurer of a church in Madison for several years. She had been an active member of the D.A.R. for many years and served as treasurer of the state organization in Maine.
She was interested in the welfare of others, being especially sympathetic to their ills and misfortunes, and had a host of friends in both Maine and Massachusetts.
She leaves, besides her husband and daughter, Mrs. Russell of 38 Lafayette street, Marblehead, a son, Ellsworth, a high school teacher in Cleveland Heights, O.; and two grand-daughters and two great-grandsons of Cleveland.
