She was born in Lexington the daughter of Jefferson Lee Drafts and Polly Buff Drafts.
She spent her entire life in this community.
She was a charter member of the Pilgrim Lutheran Church; she was made an honorary life member of the Missionary
Society.
She was survived by four daughters: Miss Annie Caughman and Miss Chicora Caughman of Lexington, Mrs. Eldridge T. McSwain
of Evanston, Ill., and Mrs. J.E. Prettyman of High Point, NC, One son, Wilbur W. Caughman, of Columbia, SC; two granddaughters, Mrs. Ann Mcswain Harrell of Ann Arobor, Mich., and Miss Elizabeth Prettyman of High Point; one brother, R. Thomas Drafts of Lexington, and three great grand children.
Her funeral was held at Pilgim Lutheran Church by pastor, the Rev. Paul McCullough.
Her obituary was published in the The State Jan. 13, 1956.
