Funeral services for Adam Hutchings, 77, 700 Maple Street were held this afternoon at Sellergren Lindell Funeral hOme with the Rev. Richard Qualls officiating and burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
A retired farmer and maintenance man fo Union Carbide, Mr. Hutchings died Thursday, November 23, at Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic.
The son of Mr. and Rms. Elbert Hutchings, he was born July 14, 1901 in Protem, Missouri and later lived in Bristow, Oklahoma before moving to Red Oak 30 years ago. He was married in 1921 to Bessie Walker, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Cleo, Red Oak; three daughters, Mrs. Robert Hensel of Atlantic, Mrs. Arlene Jenkins of Stanton, and Mrs. Juanita Plum of Bristow, Oklahoma; sister, Mrs. Lona Dominque, Las Vegas, Nevada; 22 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and a great great grandchild.
Hutchings was affiliated with the Baptist Church.
