RAMSEY – Georgia Lucille Cullison, 91, of Turley, Oklahoma, passed away April 30, 2004 at Saint Simeon’s Episcopal Home in Tulsa Oklahoma.

She was born December 20, 1912 in Avant, Oklahoma to George and Trixie Jones Gideon.

Lucille graduated from Avant High School in 1930 and then received her teaching degree at Central State College. She taught school in Avant. She fondly recalled driving one of her 2nd grade students with a striking voice to Tulsa to sing on the radio for the first time. That student later gained fame as Patti Page.

She married O. G. “Cotton” Cullison; they lived in Turley and owned and operated the grocery store. Cotton passed away December 15, 1952. She later married George C. Ramsey and they resided in the Skiatook area for several years. George passed away January 18, 1991.

Lucille was a member of the Golden Hills Baptist Church in Turley, Oklahoma.

Lucille leaves behind her daughter and her husband; three sons; ten grandchildren; three great-grandsons; three sisters; and two brothers.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Cotton and George; a sister, Geraldine Brannon; and a brother, Donnie Gideon.

Graveside service was held Monday, May 3, 2004 at Resthaven Cemetery, Sperry, Oklahoma. The family requests memorials to Saint Simeon’s Episcopal Home in care of the funeral home. Viewing hours were from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday at Peters-Stumpff Funeral Home, 14206 N. Cincinnati, Skiatook, OK 74070. (Anna)
