Claude H. Devore, 64 of Owensboro, died Sunday, September 18 at the Daviess County Hospital, Owensboro, after an illness. He was formerly of Port Royal, an Army Veteran of WWII, a member of the Port Royal Methodist Church and a retired farmer.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Genevieve Berry, Louisville.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 20 from Prewitt's, New Castle. Rev. John Phipps, pastor of the Port Royal Methodist Church, officiated. Interment was in the Port Royal Cemetery.
