Jim is survived by his loving wife, Pat (Hall) Ring; his brother, Giles E. Ring, Jr.; his two children, Tracy (Ring) Berry and her husband, Alex, and Giles Ring and his wife, Sarah; as well as his four grandchildren, Jackson and Aidan Berry, and Caleb and Grayson Ring.
Born in 1947, Jim was a graduate of Camden High School, in Camden, S.C., where he was a proud member of the marching band. He served his country from 1966-1969 in the United States Army. Jim graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1973 with a BS in Advertising.Jim will be remembered as many things by those who knew him best. He was a proud and loving husband, father, and grandfather; a dependable friend; a musician and lover of music; and a man of unwavering character.
Jim's wife, children, and brother welcome friends and family to celebrate his life on Sunday, April 3, 2016,at the AshCreek Clubhouse, 10854 Linderwood Drive, Mechanicsville, VA 23116,from 2 until 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
