Former Houston resident Elmer Dixon died March 7, 1989, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.
Services are 11 am Friday at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Myers officiating.
Mr. Dixon, 94, had been a resident of the Regency Nursing Home in Mountain Grove for some time.
Born August 7, 1894, at Yukon, he was the son of Jerry and Sarah Baker Dixon.
Before moving to Houston, he was a farmer in the Yukon Community.
Surviving are his wife, Bessie Elliott Dixon of Houston; two daughters, Lorene Schebaum of Cabool and Lucille Bell of Twin Oaks; two grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in the Big Creek Cemetery.
