Emma T. Abrams, 85, daughter of the late Jerry and Sarah Jane Dixon, was born September 22, 1889, near Yukon, Mo., and died December 22, 1974, in Tulare, California.

She was united in marriage to Oren Abrams in 1905 and to this union six children were born. Her husband and two sons preceded her in death.

She spent the early years of her life in the Yukon community and also lived near Houston and Mountain Grove. But for the most part, her life was spent in California.

She is survived by one son, Walter, of Mansfield, Mo., three daughters, Mable Fawett, Cudahy, Calif., Inez Fannin, Gardena, Calif., and Hester Kelly, Tulare, Calif.; two brothers, Walter Dixon, Summersville, Elmer Dixon, Houston, one sister, Bertie Medlock, Yukon.

She joined the Yukon church as a young girl.

Funeral services were held Friday, December 27, at 1 p.m. in the Evans Elliott Chapel, the Rev. Robert Smith and Mrs. Sadie Miles officiating. Burial was in the Big Creek Cemetery.
