Born in Springfield, MO, Mary wed Ira L. Harman on 6/15/1919 in Springfield, before moving to the Milford Community shortly afterward, with her new husband and her parents, Charlie L. and Ella May Evans Jones. The mother of 5 children, she became a widow in 1950, with the passing of Ira. On 8/5/1956, she married John Joseph Perkins in Carthage, MO. They lived in Milford all of their married life. John died 12/25/1970 and is buried in Lake Cemetery in Lamar, beside his first wife, Dolly Gladys Fuson Perkins.

Mary lived in Milford several more years before selling her house and moving to Lamar.

Lamar, Mo. - Mary L. Perkins, 89, Lamar, died at 9:03 a.m. Saturday at a Lamar nursing home after a long illness.
Mrs. Perkins was born July 10, 1897 at Springfield. she was a member of Lamar Church of Christ.
She married Ira Harman in 1919. He died in 1950. She married John Perkins Aug. 5, 1957. He precedes her in death.
Survivors include a son, Ira Harman, Sheldon; four daughters, Mary Phipps, Lamar, Irene Iannone, Calbassas Park, Calif., Helen Jantz, Yonkers Heights, N.Y., and Margaret Coleman, Granada Hills, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Lohmeyer-Konantz Funeral Home. the Rev. Lee Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Howell Cemetery, northeast of Lamar.
