Anna Elizabeth Blevins was the first of seven known children of James Blevins and Eliza Jane "Jane" Clark, born in Washington Township, Lawrence County. She married John McClelland McConnell, son of Judge John William McConnell and Mary Barnett in about 1888 and had four children: Florence Edith, James Nathaniel, Sherman Joseph and Thomas Everett, all of whom survived her. Her husband died in 1940. Anna died in Washington Township, Lawrence County.
Her obituary, which is largely almost illegible, appeared in the New Castle News on Friday, 16 May 1952, Page 2, Column 4.
