One Of Oldest Men In County Expires At Home Of His Daughter
James Blevins, aged 96 years, one of the oldest residents of Washington township, died this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Robert McGary, Washington township. Mr. Blevins was born in County Down, Ireland, March 26, 1926, the son of John and Elizabeth Anderson Blevins. He was one of the prominent farmers of the township until a few years ago when he retired from active work. He was a member of Leesburg U. P. church. He is survived by the following children: Mrs. John McConnell, Mrs. Hugh A. Martin, Clark Blevins and Robert Blevins of Volant, John Blevins of this city and Mrs. McGary of Washington township. Funeral services will be held from the residence Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Plaingrove cemetery.
