Motor racing driver and stockbroker. The third son of Lt.Col Vickers Dunfee, Beresford Clive Dunfee along with his older brother Jack, were two of the renown Bentley Boys who raced Bentley racing cars in the 20s and 30s. In 1930 he married stage and film actress Jane Baxter and apparently stated he would retire from racing. He decided to return to racing for the BRDC 500 Mile Race at Brooklands and shared Capt. Wolf Barnato's 8-litre Bentley with his brother Jack. Jack drove the first stint and pulled into the pits to hand over the car to his brother. Clive raced off, leaving his wife in the pits. He lapped consistently at 126mph on the banked circuit but just before 3pm, when travelling very high on the banking and overtaking another competitor, his rear right wheel went over the edge. He tried to get the car back in the track but the car slew sideways and barrel rolled throwing the driver out with fatal consequences.
